I’m going to get a new PC built for me but I’m unsure about video cards. At the moment I use 3 computer monitors. I just use the graphics card that came with the PC and a splitter and I don’t play out to an external monitor through my protools digi002 rack. I have just been syncing to quicktime h.264 video files and I understand these are not frame accurate. When people get an external card like blackmagic does that only play the video file on the external monitor and it’s not used for the rest of the pc work (ie do you have to use 2 cards). Secondly If I was to continue to use the same 3 monitors on a new pc and I wanted to use a variety of formats dv25 dv pro and hd would most graphics cards work with these or would I have to get a certain type and any recommendations?
