Just picked up some polymer film transducers. Haven't hooked them up yet, but I'm told they make great contact mics. It's the same stuff used in many guitar pickups. Hopefully I'll have some time to solder them in the next two weeks or so. I'll have recordings up once I finish putting them together!

I have tried to build a PVDF contact as I would when using a piezo disc. But it's not that easy. The PVDF tab requires shielding so it won't pick up unwanted signal. Even then I have not had success. the PVDF film is a different animal requiring different treatment of which I have been unable to find direction for in the ethernet.
